Cashew is a beautiful five-year-old, tri-color Abyssinian female guinea pig looking for a loving guardian preferably with another female or neutered male guinea pig. Cashew lived with her momma guinea pig until she recently passed away. Her family relinquished her to Friends of Petraits Rescue so she can find a home with another guinea pig. She is currently eating unlimited timothy, orchard and botanical hays, fresh salad, fruits, veggies and pellets. Guinea pigs need daily vitamin C which they get from fresh pellets, a 1-inch squares of red pepper, a vitamin C cookie, and some of their dark leafy greens. Cashews favorites are tiny pieces of celery, carrots, cucumbers, and bell peppers. This sweet girl deserves a guinea pig-loving home with people who will handle her daily, keep her well-fed, nails trimmed, and habitat nice and clean. If you're interested in meeting and possibly adopting Cashew, please fill out an adoption application at https://friendsofpetraits.com/guinea-pig-adoption-application/ and follow up to make an appointment by contacting [email protected] Her adoption fee of $25 benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue Group. For an additional $75, you can purchase her guinea pig habitat, and all the supplies you'll need to care for her. She is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
