Fields is a very handsome, talkative, gentle and sweet, golden-eyed, one-year-old, male silver tabby cat looking for a loving guardian. This loving dude was rescued from underneath a heavy metal grate at the Marshall Fields' housing development in Chicago's Old Town neighborhood and brought to Chicago Animal Care and Control. Concerned feline-lovers who heard of his plight asked Friends of Petraits Rescue to take him in. This boy is a love sponge, a volunteer favorite. He rolls over on his back for belly rubs and purrs and purrs (and drools with joy). He is the quintessential lap cat. He will work the room jumping from lap to lap, gazing lovingly into your eyes. Fields had been stuck under the grate for days meowing for rescue. Luckily, besides being skinny (only six pounds), he is otherwise very healthy, now neutered, vaccinated for rabies and distemper, microchipped and virus-tested negative. He has been dewormed and treated with Revolution as preventative. Fields has been very well-behaved in the home, and uses his litter box like a good boy. To meet and possibly adopt Fields, please fill out an adoption application https://friendsofpetraits.com/cat-adoption-application/ After the application is complete, please contact [email protected] to schedule an appointment to meet him. His adoption fee of $175, benefits the Friends of Petraits Rescue. He is being fostered in Chicago's Andersonville neighborhood.
