About Harold

Hi! My name is Harold. I'm told I'm a very handsome black cat with beautiful yellow-green eyes�'�|although my foster family says my little snaggle fang steals the show. Not too long ago, I was living outside. I was scared, hungry, and cried as loudly as I could until someone finally heard me. That moment changed my life. Since then, I've discovered blankets, safe places to sleep, and something even better: people who pet me. I didn't know life could be this good. Now I spend my days following my foster family around, asking for pets, making biscuits, and purring so loudly that everyone laughs. Sometimes I get so excited to tell people I love them that I open my mouth to meow�'�|and nothing comes out. I'm learning that being an indoor cat is pretty wonderful, and I'm doing a great job using my litter box and settling into home life. I live with dogs and another cat, and while I appreciate my own space sometimes, I mostly just want to be wherever my people are. I do have FIV and feline herpes, which means I need to stay indoors forever and may occasionally need care for my eyes. But my foster family says I've been incredibly patient through treatments because I trust the people taking care of me. More than anything, I want a family who won't mind that I think affection is a full-time job. I'm not looking for someone to visit every now and then. I'm looking for my person-the one I'll follow from room to room, greet every morning, and remind every day just how loved they are.
