About Soul

If you have ever lost a dog that you saw as your soulmate, then you will understand what I have to offer. Even my name is such to describe what I am, which is a part of your being and a being who understands your deepest parts and loves you fiercely. For the past 5 years, I have lived in a home that fosters endlessly. I have taught all the puppies to have good manners and to be kind, and I have comforted the seniors as their journey leads them out of this world. I have been loved deeply by my human and shown adventures and excitement. But here's the thing: this world isn't just about me taking care of others- it's also about me having a human of my own who I do not have to share with countless other dogs that are far needier than I am. I am compassionate and patient, but I deserve a bigger life than my house with non-stop fosters can provide for me. As such, my human is writing this to allow me to find a home that can make me its centerpiece. About me: I am a 5-year old female, 55 pounds, spayed, and microchipped. I am house-trained and do not need a crate as I am never destructive when left alone. I am quiet. I absolutely love to run free in open spaces and looooove to swim. Even when my current human paddle boards, I jump off to swim alongside. I have good recall and excellent loyalty. I love car rides and going places with you on a leash. I am not scared of people or dogs or places or sounds. I do not resource guard or have any aggression with food sharing. My ideal home is with a person who allows me full access to the home and wants me to sleep with them, though I often get hot and jump off the bed at some point. I'd like a yard, so I can be outside more than an apartment would provide. At least two walks a day would be great on a daily basis and then going somewhere fun for a bit more adventure once a week or more would be grand, too. If you currently have no dogs and can have two of me in your life, then I have a best friend who is so similar to me and would like to join me. His name is Howdy. He is a 3-year old male, 40 pounds, cattle dog and great pyrenees mix and a ball of delightful sunshine, all cuddly and silly, too. (He is who is in the photo with me.)
