About 'BALOO'

PHOENIX, AZ- VERY FRIENDLY, MALE CHOW 'BALOO' IN NEED OF A LOVING, RESPONSIBLE HOME - said to be good with kids and other dogs. Owner is moving out of the country and unable to take him (please no negative comments as the focus needs to be on finding him a good home). Please help us find a loving, responsible home for handsome Baloo who has lived in with his owner since a puppy as an indoor pet. Baloo is now almost 8 years old, weighs 70 lbs, and his owner contacted us to find him a forever home. Baloo's owner told us, 'He is very good and friendly with people, good with other dogs (big and small). He is good with kids but he never encountered cats so we are not sure about that. he's been around kids, babies included and he is very gentle. I've never seen him show any sign of aggression towards any dog or person.' Baloo previously lived with a smaller white dog who passed away, and has done well with a male akita he has spent time with. We have some videos of this. While he has shared food and water bowls with other dogs, we recommended to feed separately if there is another pet in the home. His owner also added, 'He is really good, gets a bit anxious at the vet and groomer but tolerates both. He needs some down time after those appointments. He can be a bit stubborn when on walks if he fixates on a specific spot to pee.' Baloo is potty trained, current on shots, neutered and has no known medical issues. And he has no reported bites.
