PLEASE BE AWARE THAT THIS POSTING IS FOR 2 DOGS: Luka (Male) & Maya (Female) - A Loving Home Needed: Maya and Luka are two beautiful Shih Tzu mix puppies currently located in Iran, and we are looking for safe, loving, and responsible forever homes for them. This is a deeply emotional and difficult decision for our family. Their Background Story: I originally have two dogs: a senior male named Shaya (13 years old) and a female Shih Tzu named Lana (2 years old, pure Toy Shih Tzu, 3.6 kg). Due to unavoidable circumstances, I had to travel to neighboring countries while going through a U.S. family visa process, since there is no U.S. embassy in Iran. During this time, Lana (the mother) was temporarily placed in a boarding facility, where she unfortunately became pregnant. The father of the puppies is unknown. Because of administrative visa bans and extremely difficult conditions, I was unable to return in time or relocate them earlier. Born in Very Difficult Conditions: Maya and Luka were born just days before a period of serious regional tension and uncertainty in Iran. Their early life has not been easy. They have grown up during a very challenging time with economic hardship, limited access to veterinary services, and high inflation affecting even basic pet care. Despite all of this, they have always received the best possible care I could provide - including: Regular veterinary visits (at-home due to limited clinic access), Complete vaccinations for their age, Deworming treatments, Iron, calcium, and multivitamin supplements, High-quality nutrition and probiotics. Why They Need a New Home: Initially, I never intended to rehome them. However, due to extremely difficult living conditions and financial pressure in my country, it has become impossible for me to properly care for four dogs long-term. Even basic pet care is very expensive here, and in many cases, veterinary services are limited and costly. To give a simple example, the cost of a 1.5 kg bag of their puppy food (which lasts about one week) is equivalent to nearly a full month's salary for an average person in my country. Despite my love and commitment, I want to ensure they do not suffer because of financial or environmental limitations. My Wish for Them My dream is for Maya and Luka to have the life they deserve: A peaceful home, a safe environment, and the freedom to walk, play, and grow without stress or limitations. For this reason, I am seeking responsible adoptive families through my husband in the United States, in the hope of finding them a stable and loving future in a safe country. Health & Care: Fully vaccinated for their age, Dewormed, Healthy and active, Raised indoors, Potty trained on pads, Very social, affectionate, and intelligent, Respond to their names, They have been raised on Royal Canin Shih Tzu Puppy food and healthy home-cooked meals. Additional Notes: They are not yet spayed/neutered, but I am willing to arrange spay/neuter if required before adoption. Microchipping can also be completed upon request. Please note that, if you are interested in adopting these two beautiful dogs, you will also be responsible for all the future costs including any paperwork and transportation. This is an addition to the initial $300 donation fee. We are open to video calls, full transparency, and any questions from potential adopters.
