About Buster

GREAT older dog that needs a new home that can give him more attention than we can. He is house trained, crate trained, good with kids, does not get on furniture, current on vaccines and heart worm protection, good in cars too. He loves people and always wants to be around his owners, but with frequent travels and a new baby we just don't have time to love on him in this season. He is part hound and does enjoy being outside so he can get all the 'mili-sniffs' as we call them, but he is also low energy so he will wonder but he doesn't run after scents. He is not aggressive and does well in public and with small children. He enjoys going on walks, but he is limited to shorter walks due to a bad hip joint that gets sore with over-use (it is managed with a once daily joint chew that he enjoys eating). His favorite game is tug-of-war. He enjoys squeaky toys and belly rubs. He does not regularly get people food, but does occasionally enjoy a few bites of banana or watermelon. Although he is perfectly content with ice as a treat. He was rescued as a puppy in a hurricane so he is doesn't like rain, baths (but will tolerate), or swimming. He is 7 years old.
