About Ellie

My name is Ellie. I am 2 years old and just under 50 lbs. I am an adorable girl and very petite in person. From what we know about my history, one of my parents was a German Shepherd Dog mix. The other, we aren't so sure but there are snippets of Cattle Dog and Australian Shepherd in my look and behavior. I am in search of a new home. I need a little more than my family can give me right now due to life stuff. I also need a home where I can thrive and my current situation holds me back. I am super smart and well behaved at home. I am crate trained but don't need it. I am housebroken. I have lived with kids but I also don't need the little ones. 10+ is good for me. I live with two other dogs now and for the most part, it's harmonious; one of them can be a bully. However, Ziva really believes I would come out of my shell and bloom as an only dog. I would LOVE to soak up all my own human attention. My mind is active (like a shepherd's mind would be) so a person that can take me on hikes, adventures, do some training (I learn things in 2 seconds) would be fantastic. I know a long list of basic commands and I learned them because I successfully passed and achieved my AKC Canine Good Citizen Certification. I love to go on walks and I don't get to go on as many as I want to right now. My person or family needs to be patient, kind and attentive. I have so much to offer and haven't had a chance to really shine. A fenced in yard would be a plus. I am located in NJ.
