About WALKER

Walker has been through a lot, but you would never know it by the way he leans into you for affection. At approximately 6-7 years old, this handsome German Shorthaired Pointer came to us underweight and heartworm positive. Thanks to good veterinary care and plenty of TLC, he's on the road to recovery and looking forward to the next chapter of his life. Walker is the definition of a bird dog. The moment he steps outside, that nose goes straight to the ground, taking in every scent he can find. When he's finished exploring, he's happiest curled up next to his favorite person for some quality cuddle time. Walker does best with people of all ages, including kids. He can be selective with other dogs and would do best as the only male in the home or with a confident female companion. Slow, thoughtful introductions are the key to his success. If you're looking for a loyal shadow who enjoys outdoor adventures just as much as quiet evenings on the couch, Walker may be the perfect match.
