About Riley

Riley is a beautiful 75 lb. Melanistic Black & Tan who needs someone who can spend more time providing the daily breed-appropriate activity and stimulation she needs to be happy and healthy. Riley is a typical GSD: highly intelligent, fiercely loyal, affectionate, energetic and vocal. She loves to train, play, hike and then chill once she is physically and/or mentally spent. We've had her since she was 5 months old. She was born Sept 10, 2021 to a pure American mother and a pure Czech Republic father. Both parents and all four grandparents have normal hips and elbows. Riley underwent successful ovary-sparing spay (OSS) surgery in Oct 2023. She's been very healthy in general. She is not house-trained, but lets you know when she needs to go out. But she can also wait hours for us to get home between bathroom breaks. She is crate trained. She is chipped. She will tolerate some dogs but not others. But mostly she wants to be around people -- including our very young grandson. I'm looking for someone who understands and embraces the needs of this working breed and has the time and temperament to provide a loving, stable and stimulating home for Riley. She comes with everything I currently have: crate, toys, leashes, probiotics, food, etc. Thank you for your interest.
