Gretchen has spent all her life in the shelter and is now searching for a more comfortable place to live. She needs a family with patience and a good heart. Gretchen is very nervous and under socialized. Dont let that fool you though, shes the sweetest girl with the best temperament. She begs for attention and loves to be close to people, but takes time to learn how great scratches behind the ear are and that we arent out to hurt her. She has come out of her shell a lot in a week, learning how comfy the couch is and how fun toys are to play with. She is very submissive and likes to have another dog with her to provide comfort and direction. She did have a couple accidents when she first arrived in her foster home, but has since been going to the door and doing all her business outside. She is kennel trained and is quiet while in her kennel. There are no kids in her foster home, but we think she would do well with them after some time to warm up around them.
