Description from the owner's family: Meet Our Sweet Senior Girl 'This sweet senior girl is approximately 11-13 years old and is looking for a loving home where she can spend her golden years surrounded by kindness and companionship. She has received vaccinations in the past, though her records are incomplete, so she may need to begin a new vaccination schedule. Throughout her life, she has received excellent care, including surgery to repair an eye injury from a cat scratch, a routine dental cleaning with a few tooth extractions, and most recently, treatment with stitches after being attacked by another dog. Despite that experience, she does well around other dogs, although she is understandably a little cautious when meeting new ones. She enjoys rolling in the grass, relaxing by her person's side, and still has the occasional burst of playful energy. Being a senior, she generally has a slower pace and lower energy level, making her an ideal companion for someone looking for a calm, easygoing dog. One of her favorite places is right next to her human on the couch. She is in need of a new home because her beloved owner and caretaker recently passed away unexpectedly. She was truly his family-his closest companion-and his final wish was for her to find a home where she would be loved, cherished, and cared for just as he cared for her. If you have room in your heart and home for a loyal senior companion, she will reward you with quiet companionship, affection, and unconditional love.' Ellie is seeing our veterinarian on 7/1/26 for a vet check and updated shots. She is available starting 7/2/26. We have stated that we would let the family be involved in the selection of her new home so they can have closure. Adoption fee is $200 to help cover the veterinarian visit and updated vaccinations.
