We found her in our neighborhood, running free like she had been abandoned. We think she was loved (she was wearing a butterfly dress) but maybe the owners couldn't care for her well. She was underweight, had very long nails, and was missing patches of hair around her body. She now has a clean bill of health from our vet, including updated vaccines and trimmed nails. She's gained weight and her hair has grown out and looks great. She just needs to be spayed. She plays well with our five year old (will fetch for hours), but she's not a good fit for us fir our cat hissing at her and our out senior dog feeling miserable with a puppy around. She still nips like a puppy (not hard), though it's improved some with consistent redirection. She comes on too strong with other dogs cause she's very excitable but eventually chills out. Spay procedure would likely help with that a lot.
