It is a bittersweet feeling when a mama dog watches all her puppies head off to their forever homes while she gets left behind. Nova's babies were born during the harsh winter storm earlier this year, and just last week, the very last puppy was adopted. We are thrilled for them, but Nova is still here with us. It's completely understandable why people rush to adopt puppies, but it raises a heartbreaking question: what happens to the adult dogs? It's starting to feel like these resilient dogs are beginning to think the shelter is their permanent home'|they even get excited to come back to their kennels after walks. While we love them, a shelter shouldn't be a dog's forever reality. Nova has been an incredible, protective mother, and now it is finally her turn to be pampered, loved, and chosen. Would anyone out there be willing to give our beautiful Nova the chance she truly deserves? %90 Nova's Quick Stats: %90 Age: 3 years old Weight: 43 lbs %90 Status:** Super-mama, German Shepard mix, fully vetted, and ready for a couch of her own. %90 Personality:** Loving, resilient, and ready to be the center of someone's world.
