About Hamilton: %90 4 years old Z' Male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Up-to-date on vaccinations %8F House training is about 99% Secure physical fenced yard is highly recommend %90'%8D| Does walk on a leash Sweet, very affectionate and enjoys human contact Hamilton has retired from the life of breeding. We have no idea how many litters he may have fathered but we do know he is a very sweet and loving boy who doesn't know a stranger. He is just about perfect as far as a retired breeder goes. He does walk on a leash and harness but does enjoy running in the secure physically fenced yard at his foster mom's. He is about 99% potty trained but does wear a belly band to protect the house for now. Please remember that when you change their environment & routine, there is an adjustment period. He may have some accidents while readjusting. So, his adopting family will need to set the schedule for when potty breaks are given, what door is used, etc. Hamilton does stay in a play pen when his foster mom doesn't have eyes on him. This is for his safety so he doesn't get hurt while learning what he can and cannot do in a home setting. However, when foster mom is home, he is free to roam and play with his other cavalier foster friends. We don't know how he is with cats. If you are not familiar with the Cavalier breed, please educate yourself before applying. They are a very loving breed but can be high maintenance and have health issues. Their coats must be groomed, either at home or by a professional. And they require a lot of attention- plenty of snuggle time! Bringing home a new pup is a huge responsibility. It requires lots of patience & time! But it is very rewarding if everyone is invested. Please apply if you meet the requirements & would like to adopt Hamilton. Make sure everyone in the home is onboard with adopting Hamilton.
