I'm Skye. A Strong and Capable Girl Who Needs A Home To Heal In I'm currently in California, but my bags are packed, I'm ready to travel to my new home. Where are you? Are you my new family? I'll travel to you when I'm all healed up! I'm 2 years old. A Husky and German Shepherd mix with energy to spare, even when life has tried to slow me down. I came into the shelter as a stray with an injury to my back leg, but I never stopped moving. That's just who I am. Alert. Driven. Curious about everything around me. My left hind leg is healing now. I've already had treatment, I've got medication, and the vet is taking good care of me while everything heals the way it should. I just need time, consistency, and a calm place to recover. Even with all of that, I still want to get up and go. I've got that Husky-Shepherd brain and body. I notice everything. I want to explore. I want to be involved. Sometimes I can be a little hyper, especially when I'm stuck in stressful places with nowhere to put my energy. What I really need right now is a medical foster or adopter who understands dogs like me. Someone patient. Someone active. Someone who won't mistake my energy for a problem when it's really just life still trying to come out of me. I need a place where I can decompress, heal properly, and settle into a routine that makes sense. Because underneath the healing leg and the kennel stress is a really good dog.
