About Daisy

Hi, I'm Daisy. Not too long ago, I was all alone. Someone left me on the side of the road, hiding under some bushes. I was so hot, so thirsty, so hungry�'�| my little body was shutting down. I was covered in mange, missing most of my fur, and I honestly don't know how much longer I could've made it. Then an angel found me. A kind man picked me up, gave me food, fresh water, and my very first bath in who knows how long. He posted my picture, hoping my family would come looking for me�'�| but no one ever did. The next morning, another angel came for me. My current foster mom saw my story and immediately told Rescue Paws she wanted to help. She picked me up, took me straight to the vet, made sure I got all my vaccines, got my nails cut since they were starting to curl into my toe-beans and started treating my mange. Look at me now�'�| I've already gained 4 pounds! My beautiful brindle spots are starting to peek through as my fur grows back. My ears are still healing, but every day I'm looking more like the Frenchie I was always meant to be. One thing hasn't changed, though. Because of the neglect I suffered, I can't hear. I wish I could hear my foster mom tell me I'm a good girl and that I'm beautiful. I wish I could hear the birds when we go on our walks or the wind chimes playing music through the backyard. Maybe one day that'll happen�'�| maybe it won't. Until then, I watch the world with my eyes, trust my heart, and follow the people who show me kindness. And I have so much love left to give. Once I know I'm safe and I won't get hurt anymore, I'll roll over for belly rubs. I love going on long walks, playing with my toys, and I'm even crate trained but love using a playpen/kennel instead to have more room than what was provided to me for so many years. Because of being stuck in a smaller crate for so long, grass scares me sometimes. I've had several litters of puppies in my past, so I do best with a pee pad nearby. My body has been through a lot, but my spirit never gave up. I get along with the other foster I share my space with, so I would not mind having another furry sibling that also loves other dogs. I must say though, smaller creatures intrigue me, so I might want to chase them and check them out. I'm great with kids that are over their toddler phase to make sure they understand my boundaries and love me as I love them. I'm getting close to my senior years, but don't let that fool you-I still have plenty of adventures, cuddles, and love left to share. Now I'm just waiting for one last miracle�'�| A family that chooses ME. Not because I'm perfect. But because I'm WORTH LOVING.
