About Penny

Penny is a 10.5 year old German shepherd-lab mix. She is very loving and loyal to her family. She is good with children and adults and with bigger dogs that are non-reactive or dogs that she is introduced to slowly. She has separation anxiety that can be managed with Trazadone. She is semi-active without needing to be exercised, athletic, and very smart/obedient. She is reactive when leashed on a walk and can be resource aggressive, especially with dogs she is not familiar with. She cannot be off leash when out of the house because she has a violent prey drive that causes her to attack small dogs without notice or provocation. Penny is a very sweet dog to people and who will be your ride or die and loving companion. She is incredibly smart and is motivated to make those she loves happy. She is very healthy and athletic, despite her age and loves a good walk as much as a nap on the couch. She would do best as an only dog and in a secure apartment (without a yard she can escape out of when left alone), or a house in which there is someone in the house with her at all times.
