Dolly is a beautiful Husky/Australian Shepherd mix. She is an intelligent, playful, athletic, affectionate, happy 1.5 year old, 35 pound pup with boundless energy. She is spayed and microchipped. She is currently being fostered in northeastern KY. She has no wonderlust like a pure bred Husky. Additional qualities you can expect if you adopt: Bonds very quickly with her people. Highly active but quiet and calm during car rides. Loves baths and stuffies. Loves to fetch and return balls. Very verbal. Very soft. Very sweet and takes treats gently. Fast learner & likes direction. Plays constantly and roughly with other dogs. Seems to favor male dogs but gets along with females. Will need to be paired with a dog of comparable strength and energy. Would do best in a home with older children due to her strong herding instincts and high activity. Not recommended in a home with cats due to strong herding and hunting instincts. She has killed wild birds. She is house trained and signals to go out but will not yet hold it for long periods. Must be an inside dog and never tethered or crated unsupervised or for extended periods of time. Available to an active couple (or individual) who are kind, patient and experienced with Aussie, Husky or similar breeds. You can request an adoption application by email. An approved adoption application will begin the adoption process.
