About Athena-FOSTER NEEDED!

URGENT need for a foster parent for sweet Athena through a rescue org.!!! Can also foster to adopt through the rescue organization. Shepherds are at an increased risk of being euthanized when the shelter, Chicago Animal Care and Control, gets over-capacity. Tragically it is currently full, which is often the case!!! The shelter has a policy of mostly not offering purebred Shepherds up for adoption. Athena is only rescue due to this policy, therefore chance of making it out of there is even more decreased! The rescue orgs. that are taking foster/foster to adopt applications for beautiful Athena are: German Shepherd Rescue, Inc. if live in Chicagoland area/parts of Indiana (gsrescue1.org) and if in Wisconsin/Northern Illinois, which includes Chicago, Mit Liebe German Shepherd Dog Rescue (will need to copy and paste onto browser both links): www.mlgsdr.com. Sharing the following from one of the rescue orgs. that is taking applications: Came to the shelter as an owner surrender, is 4 years old. She's very friendly, no issues with handling and did well meeting another dog. She walks pretty well on leash. End.
