You simply have to see his smile and tail wag and your heart will belong to him. Since arriving in Wisconsin, Weston has been nothing but happy, sweet, and easygoing. He's fantastic with other dogs, does well with cats, is potty trained, slept in bed all night without a peep, is quiet around the house, and settles nicely in his crate. He's quickly proving to be an incredible companion. At 5 years old and 37 pounds, this handsome Cattle Dog mix has the perfect blend of intelligence, loyalty, and affection. He's a true velcro dog who loves being with his people and already knows several commands-in Spanish! Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too! **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
