About Sonia

Meet Sonia! Sonia is a sweet 9-month-old Australian Shepherd mix looking for a family that will give her the love and patience she deserves. While we're not exactly sure what she's mixed with, we do know she has purebred Australian Shepherd in her DNA. Sonia is currently on the Fixed Fur Good waiting list to be spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped before heading to her forever home. Like her siblings, Sonia didn't receive the socialization puppies need during their early months, so she is very shy and nervous around new people. She isn't aggressive-she's simply frightened and needs someone who understands that trust takes time. With patience, consistency, and lots of love, Sonia will continue to grow into a confident, devoted companion. Sonia's ideal home: �'ۢ A patient and understanding family. �'ۢ A securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and build confidence. �'ۢ Another friendly dog would be a wonderful companion and help her settle in. �'ۢ No small children, as a quieter home will allow her to feel more secure. Sonia has so much love to give. She just needs someone willing to see beyond her fear and give her the chance she's never had. Watching a timid dog finally realize they're safe is one of the most rewarding experiences, and Sonia is absolutely worth that journey.
