About Shorty

Shorty is a spunky sprite after being rescued from a hoarding situation. He spent most of his life in a crate and is still learning about the outside world. He is now house trained and will tell you when he has to go out. He loves to be outside, and enjoy walks with his nose down and grunting like a little piglet while he sniffs everything. He thinks he can catch squirrels but doesn't understand how they just disappear! He has enjoyed spending time with my grandchildren and snuggles with them every chance he gets. He does require a little extra time because of his limited knowledge of the world and its strange sounds. He is initially fearful of men, until they get down on his level and once, he sniffs them, then he is all wiggles. He is also skittish around other dogs. He enjoys begin groomed and has a beautiful full tail. He is a super sweet dog and would be a great companion for a single person or family.
