Daisy is the definition of a sweetheart. While we can't know her entire story, we do know she's been deeply loved. Daisy was originally adopted through an adoption center in Aiken, South Carolina. After her first owner passed away, she was welcomed into the home of a relative, where she spent at least five happy years. Sadly, when that owner recently passed away as well, Daisy found herself searching for a new beginning. This beautiful girl appears to be a Terrier/Corgi mix with stunning coloring and an even more beautiful heart. Daisy is 100% house-trained and has excellent manners in the home. She's currently living with 3 cats, 5 resident dogs, 2 foster mama dogs, and 11 puppies. While Daisy would prefer to leave the puppy chaos to the younger crowd, she gets along wonderfully with the adult dogs and has even started playing with them in the yard. She also coexists peacefully with cats. One of Daisy's charming quirks is that she likes things her own way. Traditional food and water bowls aren't her favorite, but she's perfectly happy eating from a lick mat and drinking from a shallow-lipped container or lid. Whatever works for Daisy! She's an excellent companion who will let you know when visitors arrive without being excessive. Like many dogs who have experienced change, Daisy may need a little time to settle into a new home, but once she feels safe, her sweet personality shines through. She gets excited when her people come home-even if you've only been gone for a couple of minutes-and she's always interested in a little extra attention. Daisy is wonderful for grooming, sits politely for nail trims, and was an absolute angel during bath time. She enjoys spending time outdoors in pleasant weather, relaxing in a cozy bed indoors, and taking leisurely walks where she can stop and sniff to her heart's content. She's gentle on a leash and easy to enjoy. After losing the people she loved, Daisy deserves a family that will cherish her for the rest of her days.
