The shelter had him listed as a Maltese/chihuahua mix, but we think he could have some dachshund or even papillon mixed in there too but regardless of his breeds, one thing is for certain, he's super cute! Kirby is generally a happy, playful bouncy little guy who loves to follow his foster mom around, prance in the yard with a toy in his mouth and then snuggle up for some lap time. In fact, his favorite pastime is sleeping on his foster mom's lap while she works. We want to set Kirby up for success in his new home so a home with adults only is required. Kirby has some nervous energy and young kids would not be a good fit. He is fostered with several other dogs right now and while he does get along with them all in general, he seems to prefer smaller female dogs but being an only dog would work best. Kirby will likely be a 'Velcro Dog' for a while. He finds comfort with his person and wants to be around them often so someone who is home often would be most suited for him although, he has been good in his crate when he's been left alone.
