This super sweet girl is hoping for a fresh start with a family who will show her the love she has always deserved. Meet Izzy Izzy is a 1-year-old Shepherd mix (best guess) weighing 48 pounds. She came into rescue after being surrendered by her previous owner through no fault of her own. Sadly, when they brought her to the shelter, Izzy was trying to run away from them and toward the shelter staff-a heartbreaking glimpse into the life she may have known before. Despite that, she remains incredibly sweet, loving, and trusting. She hasn't let her past change her gentle nature and is more than ready to find a family who will cherish her. One of Izzy's most adorable features is her cute underbite, which gives her the sweetest smile! Because of her underbite, she simply needs to eat from an elevated food dish so her food doesn't fall out of her mouth while she's eating. That's it! Other than eating from a raised bowl, Izzy has no special needs. She chews toys, enjoys treats, and lives life just like any other happy dog. Her foster in Georgia says Izzy is an absolute sweetheart. She's a low-key, easygoing girl who loves nothing more than relaxing with her people and soaking up affection. She's content to simply hang out by your side and enjoys the company of other dogs, making her an easy addition to many homes. Her calm, loving personality makes her the kind of dog who quickly becomes everyone's best friend. Izzy has waited long enough for a second chance. She doesn't need anything special, just a family who will love her for the wonderful dog she is. In return, you'll gain one of the sweetest, most loyal companions you could ask for. Apply to foster or adopt today at www.muttlife.org and help Izzy catch her ride to Wisconsin!
