About Hodgins

Please... I only have until Friday, June 26 at 4:00 PM to leave PCACC. Hi, I'm Hodgins (A290760), a male Alaskan Husky mix. I'm only 3 years old, but it feels like life has already asked so much of me. I came to the shelter as a stray, and while I've been safe here, this isn't the place where I can get better. I'm fighting a severe case of Valley Fever that's damaged the bones in my front leg. The people here have tried so hard to help me, but the stress of shelter life has become too much. I'm scared, overwhelmed, and I've stopped taking the medicine my body desperately needs. I don't need the shelter to save me anymore... I need you. When you first meet me, I might be a little shy. But if you sit with me for just a few minutes and give me a few gentle pets, you'll see my walls come down. I lean into your hand because, more than anything, I just want to feel safe. Everyone says I'm such a sweet, handsome boy. I've been friendly with other dogs, I love attention, and I still have so much love left to give. I just need the chance to heal somewhere peaceful. PCACC will send me home with 3 months of my medications, but medicine alone isn't enough. I need a family, a quiet place to rest, and someone who won't give up on me. My deadline is Friday, June 26 at 4:00 PM. Please don't let my story end because I couldn't heal in a kennel. I didn't choose to get sick. I didn't choose to become a stray.
