Meet Barbie! **Emergency Foster or Adopter Needed **This gorgeous girl was saved from euthanasia at a TN shelter 3 years ago a along with her sister (Skipper) minutes before euthanasia. Skipper was quickly adopted out. Barbie was lost from our program for 3 years after her foster family gave her away to a random person. We searched for her and made police reports, but could not locate Barbie. A month ago she showed back up at the same shelter as a stray and was now heartworm positive. We picked her up, had her examined by vets and now need to food a safe spot for her to recuperate. Barbie is a beautiful black mixed breed girl. She is in an emergency foster home who cannot keep her past 6/24. She truly deserves a home filled with patience, safety, and love. Over the past week, she has completely started to blossom. What began as a shy, timid personality has transformed into an affectionate and incredibly loving dog. She has already gained some confidence and is growing daily, Barbie is great on a leash and is quiet/calm in the house. She is approx 4 years old, 45 lbs, fully vaccinated.
