About Ferret

ISO forever home with an experienced ferret guardian Nibbler is a 2-3year old female/spayed/descented ferret. She is very intelligent and inquisitive. Loves salmon oil, treats, splashing her water, and endless toys to hoard in her special hiding spots. She was adopted early this year from an out of state rescue who didn't have too much information about her - but we suspect a potential abuse background for her. It's become clear to us after many months of working with her that we cannot introduce her to the rest of our family/household. We are really really upset with this decision to rehome, but feel she would be happier with someone who has a lot more time to focus on her individual needs. Nibbler is what her name says. A biter. It can be very hard and is triggered by hands, gloves, and squeaky toys. We have consulted the rescue and other experienced owners to try to help her with this behavior. Unfortunately, after many months we haven't gotten far and we feel she would do best with someone who can work more individually and consistently, so she can live her happiest life. We are devastated to have to make this decision and hope we can find someone who will be a much better fit for her and can dedicate the time she needs. She does seem to do well with other ferrets and is currently house with another from the same rescue - we are open to discussing keeping them together if that is what's best for her.
