'Kane', a red Doberman who is almost 3 years old. I want to preface this message by saying Kane has been one of the sweetest, easy-going, amicable, and people-loving dog I have ever met. He has lived with me in Richmond now for almost 3 years and everyone who meets him loves him. He gets along with most other dogs well and has no issues with strangers in the home coming to walk him, etc. However, I am reaching out in hopes that you could help provide some resources or guidance into possibly rehoming him. 99% of the time Kane has been nothing but well behaved and has an extensive knowledge of commands that him and I have rehearsed. There's been maybe 2 or 3 occasions where he's reacted a little aggressively, completely out of fear not of malice, and once he actually snipped my brother in the hand which was reported to animal control. Although I wanted to be completely transparent, I don't believe this is indicative of his overall temperament or behavior and in fact those around me still feel very comfortable around him. Despite my feelings towards him, I am in the middle of the move and may be brining in some young children in the next few years and don't have the resources or capacity to try and get some professional training to change some of our training regime and desensitization skills. In addition, the new place I am moving to does not accept his breed.
