Thank you so much��%A4%8D [Case opened on 6/22/26]. URGENT!!! Wooster, Ohio. (willing to drive up to 50 miles). 6.5 Y/O FEMALE DUTCH SHEPHERD (DOB: 6/1/17). Her name is 'Pepper'. Background: Current Shepherd Parent has had Pepper for approximately 3 years after adopting her through my Rehoming Service. NOT UTD on shots WITH record. NOT Fixed. NOT Good with kids. NOT Good with dogs. NOT Good with cats. House trained. Crate trained. Any known medical issues?: Mild early hip dysplasia and anxiety. Pepper was diagnosed with Lyme Disease approximately one year ago, was treated, and is now in the clear. She is prescribed pain medication as needed for her hip dysplasia, which is currently very mild and in the early stages. Currently not on a treatment plan because it's very early and can still function as normal, but on Prevention Method so that it does not progress, such as not letting her jump or constantly up and down stairs, Etc. Also in August of 2025, Pepper was stolen and neglected and she developed an ear infection and then once found in October of 2025, the Current Shepherd Parent had to take Pepper in for surgery for a Hematoma in her ear from the infection, so the right ear is now floppy but completely healed. Abuse/Neglect/Trauma History?: Pepper suffered severe abuse/neglect from previous humans before being rescued. ENERGY LEVEL: Medium. PREY DRIVE LEVEL: High. Weighs 75 lbs. Currently on Purina One Digestive Health food. Good with car rides?: Yes. Socialized with: *people?: No. Very Reactive and displays aggressive behaviors toward strangers. *dogs?: No. Very reactive and displays aggressive behaviors toward other dogs. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): No. Pepper is very Reactive, territorial, and displays Aggressive Behaviors toward strangers. She will bark excessively due to anxiety and does not do well with unfamiliar people entering her home. Loves: Car rides, outside time in a large yard, safe spaces, cuddling, walks, chilling on the couch, sleeping in bed with her person, being near her person, and chew toys. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? (ALWAYS RETRAIN BEFORE ALLOWING OFF LEASH): No. *Good on a Leash?: No. *Lovable?: This breed is super lovable once they claim you as their person/family. *Eager and fast learner?: This breed is super fast learners when they are being committed to and worked with. Bite History?: Yes. In December 2025, the Current Shepherd Parent's mother came over to watch Pepper and brought her small breed dog. Pepper attacked the small dog. While trying to separate the dogs, the mother was bitten in the process. Pepper will attack unfamiliar dogs if she has access to them. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'Pepper is a very loyal, loving large lap dog that is looking for someone to love her unconditionally. Pepper loves going on adventures, going on car rides, going on walks, and loves a large yard. Pepper loves being close to her owner. Pepper is very attached to the people she is always around. Pepper will make a great companion to someone that can give her the time and attention she deserves.' �z� Re Homing because�'�|: With the CSP's Fiance now pregnant, due to Pepper's anxiety, territorial behavior, Dog Aggression, and Stranger Fear/ Aggression, the Current Shepherd Parent and fianc̩ do not feel comfortable bringing a newborn baby into the home with Pepper. They love her very much and want to find a home that is better suited to her needs and behavioral challenges. Pepper needs someone that has the experience and time to work with her and help her through her issues. Pepper does have Abuse Trauma that she needs to work through. Pepper has been through a lot with abuse, neglect, rescued, rehomed, being stolen and neglected again,... she needs a great Furever Home. Pepper will be a great companion for the right person. Will thrive best�'�|?: In a loving home with someone who is home often, has experience with Behavioral and Reactive dogs, and can provide structure, consistency, and management. Pepper needs to be the ONLY pet in the home with absolutely no dogs, cats, or other animals. She also needs a home with NO children.
