About Ruby

This is for 'Ruby'. 'Ruby', is waiting to celebrate her 5th birthday with a new family, new start! Ruby will turn 5 yrs old this year, on the 4th of July (7-4-21), she is the sweetest little girl who is just about 10 lbs. She is learning quickly to go potty outside and rarely has accidents in the house. I keep a cable hooked to her collar in case she somehow gets out of the fenced yard, which would be recommended. She does not know how to walk on a leash but will follow you nicely when working on learning. I've had Ruby for a week now and she is warming up to us nicely. She likes to be on the couch with you but, she is not used to being touched and will shiver when you touch her. She stiffens when you pick her up but, likes to be held. She loves my grandchildren, following the 11 yr. old all over so, respectful children will be considered. Ruby goes in her kennel when I'm not home and at night, mainly because I have 5 other dogs, 2 of them being quite large. She is very happy to be in there. It is the only place I've found, where she will eat also. I have a small farm with the 5 dogs, several house, and barn cats, and horses. She gets along great with the dogs, ignores the cats, and had no reaction to the horses. I would say another dog would be good to continue showing her what a dog does. But it is not a requirement. She does try to play with my Corgi. Ruby is staying in Capron IL., and she would love to meet you!
