This handsome 3-4 month old Catahoula mix is already turning heads everywhere he goes. Catahoulas are known for their intelligence, athleticism, loyalty, and strong personalities. They're incredible dogs, but they're not a breed to choose based on looks alone. As adults, they can be challenging for inexperienced owners and thrive best with families who understand the breed's needs for training, structure, socialization, and mental stimulation. We encourage potential adopters to research the breed and make sure they're prepared for the commitment. Unlike his more outspoken brother Atlas, Ace is a little quieter in nature. Don't mistake that for being shy, though! He's still a playful, confident puppy who enjoys wrestling with other dogs, playing with kids, and soaking up attention from his people. He has a sweet, affectionate personality and is always ready to join in on the fun. Ace has not yet met the resident cat, so we can't say how he feels about feline friends. As with any young puppy in rescue, Ace is not yet potty trained or kennel trained. His future family should be prepared for all the puppy basics, including training, consistency, patience, and lots of treats.
