About Ricky

Ricky and Tinkerbell are 10-week-old Black Lab mix siblings who are finally ready to find their forever families separately! These two puppies, along with their siblings Buddy, Katie, and Gonzo, had an unexpected start to life. A past Freedom Street Rescue adopter was visiting a Target shopping center in Atascocita, Texas one evening when they discovered a litter of five puppies abandoned in a bag beside a Salvation Army donation drop box. The puppies were taken home, bathed, fed, and brought to the vet the very next morning. Thankfully, all five puppies were healthy and ready for the second chance they deserved. Today, Ricky and Tinkerbell are thriving, happy, and full of puppy charm. Tinkerbell is a lovable little firecracker with a spunky personality that keeps everyone smiling. She is confident, curious, and always ready to investigate something new. Whether she's leading a play session with her siblings or soaking up attention from her favorite people, Tinkerbell approaches life with enthusiasm and joy. She loves making new friends and has a way of winning hearts wherever she goes. Ricky is the playful sweetheart of the pair. He has a happy-go-lucky personality and loves spending his days exploring, playing with toys, and enjoying time with people. Ricky is affectionate, eager to please, and always ready for the next adventure. His gentle nature and loving disposition make him an easy puppy to fall in love with. Both puppies enjoy playing in the yard, wrestling with their siblings, exploring new sights and sounds, and then settling in for well-earned naps. They have been exposed to children and have done wonderfully, happily accepting pets, cuddles, and attention from kids of all ages. Like their siblings, Ricky and Tinkerbell appear to be primarily Black Lab mixes and are expected to mature into medium-sized dogs, likely around 40-60 pounds full grown. They enjoy water, are doing well with crate training, and are learning all the important puppy skills needed to become wonderful family companions. These two resilient pups have overcome a difficult beginning and are now ready to start the best chapter of their lives. Whether you're looking for a playful adventure buddy like Ricky or a spunky sidekick like Tinkerbell, one thing is certain-both have endless love to give and are ready to become cherished members of their forever families.
