URGENT!!! Courtesy post, Chloe is NOT at Chicago Animal Care and Control. She is at another facility in the suburbs of Chicago. She can ONLY be fostered/fostered to adopt through a rescue organization, NOT through the facility she is at. The following rescue org. is taking applications for her to foster/foster to adopt: German Shepherd Rescue, Inc if live in Chicagoland area/parts of Indiana, within 2 hours of Chicago (gsrescue1.org). Urgency status may change depending on the capacity of the facility and Chloe's stress level. The following info. is from volunteers at the facility who have interacted with her in the 6 days she has been there: Chloe's owner sadly passed away, so she ended up at the facility. Poor baby is very afraid, does not know what happened, is happening to her, life is upside-down. She has not had much contact with other people in about 4 years, besides her previous owner. Haven't been able to get her out of her kennel. A volunteer spent an hour sitting quietly inside the kennel with chicken and avoiding eye contact, but she never relaxed or stopped barking. At one point she approached, but the noise of another kennel dog spooked her. Chloe needs a patient hero to help her get comfortable, a quiet home with experience. End. PLEASE, if can provide that, fill out an application to foster/foster to adopt with the aforementioned rescue organization!!! It will provide all the support one will need to help poor Chloe. She is just scared and confused, needs more help than can be provided at a facility, in a kennel. Do not message the email link below, unless having some issues, have to go through the aforementioned rescue.
