About Marley

Hello, It is hard for me to post this but we are at the end of our rope. We are needing to find a new home for our lab mix as soon as possible. We have reached out to many people to find someone to take her but everyone we've talked to have cats so I can't let them take her. She has always been prey driven but it was manageable when we had our other dog. Unfortunately, we had to put her down a few months ago due to age and illnesses and we are not in a position to adopt another dog though (sadly). Marley has gradually started getting worse about going after our cats. Keep in mind, we have had her for about 4 years now so you would think after all this time she would understand not to go after them but she does. In the past 2 months she has started to get more aggressive towards the 2 that really run from her. Recently my husband tried to intervene and he was bit. I know it is mostly because she's bored as we aren't as active as we used to be (our own illnesses and schedules prevent a lot) and she lost her best friend. Right now she is being separated from everyone and of course that is just making things worse. I just don't want to put her down as she is a very good dog, she just should be in a home without cats. She is extremely loving, loves swimmimg, going on walks, and smart.
