About Roy

Adoption Fee: $175
Clumber Spaniel
Age: Young Adult
Sex: Male

Intake Date: 24 March 2026 ----- Age: 4-5 Years ----- Breed: Clumber Spaniel ----- Weight: 77 lbs ----- Status: Breeder Surrender ----- Compatible with: dogs (medium/large), unknown with cats, no young children ----- Suitable for: experienced home with no young children ----- Medical/Behavioral Needs: previously treated severe matting and ear infection, neutered, leash training in progress, undersocialized ----- Additional Notes: Meet Roy, one of the dogs from 'The Office' group. Roy is proof that sometimes all a dog needs is a chance. When Roy arrived in rescue as a breeder surrender, he was severely matted, uncomfortable, and unsure of the world around him. Years of kennel life had left him undersocialized and inexperienced with the sights, sounds, and routines of a family home. Since receiving much-needed grooming, treatment for a painful ear infection, and being neutered, Roy has blossomed into a completely different dog. Today, Roy is a charmer through and through. He is full of life, silliness, and Clumber Spaniel charm. He believes it is his personal responsibility to protect his humans from the terrifying menace known as kiddie pools and can often be found romping around the yard, carrying toys, making questionable life choices, and flashing his giant Clumber grin. Roy is a huge clown with an even bigger smile, and everyone who meets him falls a little bit in love. About Roy: %90%BE Male %90%BE Clumber Spaniel %90%BE Approximately 4-5 years old %90%BE 77 lbs %90%BE Goofy, affectionate, and full of personality %90%BE Rides well in a vehicle %90%BE Enjoys outdoor adventures and playtime %90%BE Leash training in progress %90%BE Learning confidence in new situations %90%BE Does not require another dog in the home While Roy has come a long way, adopters should understand that he is still learning. He did not grow up in a family environment and can occasionally be uncertain when faced with new experiences. He thrives with patient guidance, structure, and consistency. Because of his size and background, he is not suitable for homes with young children. A secure physically fenced yard is required for Roy. He loves having space to explore, play, patrol for dangerous kiddie pools, and enjoy life as a beloved family member. Roy is currently being fostered in Northeast Nebraska. Because Roy's comfort and success are our priority, we do not ship, transport, or arrange third-party transport of our animals. All meet and greets take place where our animals are comfortable and feel safe. Potential adopters should be prepared to travel to meet Roy in person. Roy has spent enough time living for someone else's benefit. Now it's his turn to simply be a dog. If you're looking for a loyal companion, a daily source of entertainment, and a dog who will keep you laughing with his goofy antics, Roy may be your perfect match. If interested in meeting and potentially adopting, please read the adoption requirements and complete the adoption application located at forbellessake.org. Once processed and approved, a meet and greet can be scheduled and if a match is found, adoption can be finalized at that time. FBS standard adoption fee is $175. All residents are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, microchipped, and treated for any known medical needs. Housetraining is not guaranteed but crate training is worked on with all residents. A secure physically fenced yard is required for Roy. Temperament cannot be and is not guaranteed.
