Due to a tragic change in his family's circumstances, his owner is no longer able to provide the level of care and attention these dogs deserve. This is a heartbreaking decision made out of love for the dogs and a desire to see them thrive. Currently primarily an outdoor dog who will need owners who understand that he's not a 'ready-made' family pet. He's a sweet-natured, affectionate dog with wonderful potential, but he will require time, patience, training, veterinary care, and a commitment to helping him transition into home life. - ~55 pounds - Intact (not neutered-lives with other intact males) - Very sweet and gentle personality - Stands patiently and cooperatively for grooming - Needs vaccinations and routine vet care - Training needs are unknown and should be expected - House-training status is unknown due to his outdoor living situation - Not good with cats Specifically looking for people with poodle experience or a strong understanding of the breed. Standard Poodles are intelligent, active dogs that require regular grooming, ongoing training, mental stimulation, and significant financial commitment. They are not a low-maintenance breed, but so worth it. Our priority is finding the best possible match for this boy.
