About Draco

Airedale mix
Age: Puppy
Sex: Male

URGENT Poor Draco takes the cake for landing in the wrong home. But, it's not his fault or his current family's fault. Here's the scoop. When Draco was 6-months-old, his original family moved. A kind-hearted person agreed to temporarily care for Draco until his family was settled. What was supposed to be a few weeks turned into months after being abandoned. Draco was never a match for an extremely busy home with several kids and three other dogs in the mix. He gets along with two dogs but one is a senior who can't tolerate his puppy energy. Draco came to them untrained, and has become more and more unsettled and acting out. Ok, well, going berserk is more like it. The household is completely stressed, making this an urgent plea. Behind this one-year old's cutie pie appearance is a pup in need of a smaller family unit and daily structure! If he were a Marine recruit, his drill sergeant would make him do non-stop pushups for his antics. Draco needs a fresh start in life as he's missed out on every dog's dream of having a forever home. He's yet to experience the warm and fuzzies of having a ride or die companion. He's looking for an experienced dog owner who is somewhat active and experienced due to his age and need for direction. Draco will thrive with an adopter who will give him a daily routine, enrichment, and exercise. He can be your only dog or have a playful, compatible dog sibling with comparable energy. For a committed adopter, back-to-basics training with positive reinforcement may be provided before or upon adoption. No young children or cats and especially no chickens and rabbits! Don't ask! PLEASE contact [email protected] and his advocate [email protected] as soon as possible. This is a home to home adoption supported by a rescue that stresses responsible and safe rehoming.
