Please share. We are in Lafayette, IN. I am working with a shelter, but things are moving pretty slowly. I am hoping to get him into a home from my home and avoid fostering. I am being very picky about where he goes. No small children, no apartment, no cats. This is a very hard decision. Thank you. Georgie is 7 year old morkie (yorkie/maltese). I inherited him and an older dog when my mom passed away 3 years ago. Georgie has been through some changes and has some anxiety. He rushes to me when I get home and trembles. I know he's sad. He is the sweetest boy ever and absolutely loves to be held. He is playful and loves to chase squirrels in the yard! My mom did not work and was home every day with him and the other dog. I am looking for someone in a similar situation who can be with him all the time and spoil him the way he is used to. I sadly work 3rd shift and am gone over 10 hours every day. I just moved into an apartment and it is not fun for poor Georgie. He does not enjoy all the strange sounds. He is alone all the time as the other dog was way older and had to be put down several months ago. Georgie is lonely and is not happy. He deserves to be. And I know he would make someone very happy. He does well with other dogs tho he is dominant so it may take him some time with males. He is used to being able to run in a yard, tho he does very well on walks with a leash. He is updated on shots. If you could provide a loving home for Georgie, please reach out. I would love to talk with you to see if it would be a good fit. I would be willing to do a trial run and take him him back if it does work out as i only want happiness and love for him.
