Socialized with: *people?: Yes. *dogs?: No. Good with meeting new people? (ALWAYS USE PROPER INTRODUCTION!): Nyxie is very timid and Reactive with strangers. Slow introductions are a must. She warms up best when new people calmly offer treats and allow her to build trust at her own pace. Loves: Toys, bones, balls, playing with dogs she knows, protecting her family, having jobs to do, lounging, snuggling, cuddling, chilling on the couch, playing with kids, fetch, sleeping in bed with her person, being near her person, her chuck it balls, non-chicken treats, cheese, and food. *Intelligent and knows Basic Commands?: This breed is super intelligent. *Good Recall? Bite History?: Yes. There was a recent minor bite incident when a neighbor reached over the fence to pet Nyxie while she was barking. Nyxie bit the neighbor's hand. No report was made. The current Shepherd Parent states that Nyxie was protecting her home and the neighbor crossed a clear boundary by reaching into the yard uninvited. Everyone involved acknowledged the circumstances surrounding the incident. NOTES FROM CURRENT SHEPHERD PARENT: 'If you want a couch loving, window/people watcher, outdoor loving and a goofy girl, Nyxie is the girl for you. She does well with our 6 year old son and family. She takes a little bit for her to warm up but once she has your trust, she loves you and protects you as her own. She is a true Velcro pup as well. She is always beside myself or close by. Just be aware that she is a big girl and clumsy. She bumps into walls because she's looking behind at her people. True goofball!' Re Homing because'|: The current Shepherd Parent is experiencing significant hip and knee medical issues and is no longer physically able to provide Nyxie with the activity level, exercise, and lifestyle that she needs and deserves. Nyxie will be a great companion for the right person. Will thrive best'|?: In a loving home with land to roam, such as a farm, acreage, or large property. Nyxie would do best with an experienced Shepherd family that understands slow introductions, allows her time to build trust with new people, and can provide the structure, purpose, and activity she enjoys. Comes with: Collar. New Shepherd Parent must bring a leash. RehomingFee $175 .
