Onyx has spent his entire life in rescue alongside his mama and siblings and is excited to finally start the next chapter with a loving forever family. He is a sweet, friendly puppy with a playful personality and a gentle nature. He enjoys spending time with people, playing with other dogs, and exploring the world around him. Like most puppies his age, Onyx is curious, eager to learn, and always ready for an adventure. He is crate trained and doing well with potty training but will need continued guidance and consistency as he grows. He is also working on his leash manners and can get excited when it's time to explore. His food motivation and desire to please make him a great candidate for continued training. Having grown up in a foster environment surrounded by people and other dogs, Onyx has developed into a confident and affectionate puppy. He loves attention, enjoys being included in family activities, and is happiest when he can be close to his people. Onyx is expected to be a very large dog when fully grown, but right now he is still very much a puppy with a goofy personality, a loving heart, and plenty of growing left to do. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will be by your side through all of life's adventures, Onyx may be the perfect fit. The adoption fee is up to the discretion of Mutt Life Dog Rescue of Wisconsin. NOTE: THE BREED LISTED FOR EACH DOG IS OUR BEST GUESS WITH THE HELP OF OUR VETERINARIANS. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. 3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it̢s the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option. If you would like to go through your veterinarian or another location, that works too! **Note: Adoptions are not considered final until the dog is neutered/spayed if applicable**
