About Jack

Jack is considered a double merle which contributes to him being deaf. He's very smart and has learned some sign language while being with us. He takes a bit longer than hearing dogs to adjust to new surroundings but with patience and time he will make someone a great protector. He does ok with our small dog and sometimes our larger one but absolutely hates cats so we feel he would do best in a home where he is the only pet. We're not sure at this time how he does with small children because he hasn't been around any here with us. He doesn't do well with chain link fences because he will jump over those but he does great with our underground invisible fence. He also does good with a training collar. We think he would do best on a farm or somewhere with lots of land because even though he's deaf he wants a job to do. He loves having attention and car rides are a favorite. We will also be sending his huge crate with him...we think it will help him with the new transition. We won't let him go with just anybody so please don't inquire about him if you're not ready to handle a special needs dog.
