About Bruce

Bruce is the kind of dog who spends his mornings following you from room to room, curls up next to you on the couch in the evening, and eagerly joins you for weekend adventures. Bruce is a 6-year-old, 35-pound neutered Cavapoo who thrives when he can simply be part of his family's daily life. He is happiest with people who enjoy having a loyal companion by their side and can offer a calm, predictable home. We have always felt that Bruce shines in quieter environments-places like our cabin in the Catskills, where he can explore outdoors, relax, and enjoy life at a slower pace. Affectionate, intelligent, and house-trained, Bruce forms deep bonds with his people. He loves cuddling, playing fetch, carrying around plush squeaky toys, and learning new tricks. He knows sit, stay, come, leave it, high five, roll over, and even enjoys playing hide-and-seek. He has joined us on road trips, camping trips, and countless weekend adventures over the years, always happiest when included. Bruce has done well in daycare and boarding environments and is loved by the staff who care for him. He also has a habit of collecting socks, toys, and other treasures under the bed, creating his own little collection of favorite things. As our family has grown and changed, we have come to the difficult realization that Bruce would be happier and more successful in a home without young children. We are committed to finding him a family that is the right fit for his personality and needs. Bruce takes time to warm up to new people, but once he trusts someone, he is affectionate, playful, and deeply loyal. When he warms to you, he loves wholeheartedly. He will thrive with adults or older dog-savvy children who can respect his boundaries and give him time to settle in. While introductions to other dogs should be approached thoughtfully, Bruce has done well in structured daycare and boarding settings. For the right person or family, he will be a loving companion who simply wants to be included in everyday life and close to the people he loves.
