Darwin Needs a Foster or Adopter by July 11 to Secure His Ride to Wisconsin Darwin is currently waiting in a Georgia Kill shelter and needs a FOSTER or ADOPTER to secure his spot on the July 11 transport to Cedarburg, WI with Mutt Life Dog Rescue. Without a committed foster or adopter, he won't be able to make the journey north, and we'd love to see this young pup get the chance he deserves. Meet Darwin Darwin is a 3-month-old Shepherd mix (best guess) with a bright future ahead of him. He came into the shelter as a stray, and while not much is known about his past, we're hoping his next chapter includes a loving family and a safe place to call home. Like most puppies his age, Darwin is curious about the world around him and ready to learn. He has the playful, happy-go-lucky personality that puppies are known for and will benefit from a family willing to guide him through all the important puppy milestones. From house training to leash walking, Darwin is eager to start learning and bonding with his people. At 18 pounds already, Darwin may grow into a medium to large-sized adult dog. He would make a wonderful companion for an active family looking for a loyal friend to grow up alongside them. Apply: Fill out adoption application completely and submit all necessary documents. 2.)Application Decision: approved applicants will be notified via phone call and email. �'��3.)Foster-to-Adopt Trial Period: after approval, you have the opportunity to do a meet and greet and bring your dog home! You get a 5 day foster-to-adopt (FTA) period to make sure it's the right fit. 4.) Final Decision: By the end of the FTA period, please let us know your final decision to adopt or return the dog to our rescue. 5.) Home Visit: After the adoption process we conduct a home visit either in person or via zoom meeting to ensure that everything is going well with the transition and to answer any final questions you may have. 6.) Neuter/spay for puppies: for dogs who are not fixed at the time of adoption, we will reimburse $125 for the procedure once we receive proof of spay/neuter. We recommend going to HAWS Snip Clinic in Waukesha, WI or Wisconsin Community Veterinarian Center in Madison, WI for the most affordable option.
