We adopted Juno in 2024. My fiance and I (we were friends at the time) walked into the shelter after we saw Juno on their Instagram page and instantly fell in love with her energy. Her shelter name was Snuggles, and she lived up to it! Juno is an incredibly affectionate pup with so much love to give. Her cuddles are assertive, and all she could ever want is the approval of her closest people. Over the years, Juno has been exposed to a number of challenges socially, such as cats and her pup-sis, but her guarding instinct takes over occasionally around resources she considers vital, such as food(!!) and my fiance. In those moments, she enters a trance where we must intervene or she will get into fights with other dogs. We were successful at establishing boundaries with our cats, but dogs have been a persistent issue throughout our time with her; this has led to an undesirable routine at our home. We believe she would be much happier in a household where she is the only dog.
