About Portfolio

PORTFOLIO- 23 year-old 17.3 hand Oldenburg gelding- companion/pasture pet only. Portfolio has had his ups and downs in life, but fortunate to be well-loved by a young owner who gave her all to ensure his safety. In his past, Portfolio was a hunter/jumper/equitation riding horse, and also trained in dressage in his youth. At one point in his career, he was jumping nearly four feet. Once diagnosed with navicular due to soundness issues, Portfolio's owner retired him from riding and moved to natural horsemanship on the ground. In previous homes, Portfolio was given away (despite a new home promising never to sell him), starved and even ended up with the Amish. Thanks to the dedication of his last owner, who was only forced to rehome him due to financial hardship, Portfolio has found his safe landing with HRU. He is an incredibly sweet people horse who is great with other horses and will make an excellent companion. Portfolio is pasture sound barefoot and does not currently require any medication. Asking $100 donation to an approved home with contract with a minimum 60 day trial period. Adopter must be located within an two (2) hour drive of Wall, NJ.
