Oreo is a 1.5-year-old black and white Pit Bull mix with a goofy personality, a heart full of love, and enough charm to keep you smiling every day. This handsome boy is equal parts playful companion and affectionate best friend. Oreo already knows an impressive list of commands, including sit, down, drop it, shake, and off. He's eager to interact with people and enjoys learning, making him a great candidate for continued training and enrichment. When it comes to playtime, Oreo is in his element! He absolutely loves squeaky toys and had us laughing as he bounced from toy to toy, showing off his playful and silly side. One of the most endearing things about Oreo is how gentle and aware he is of human hands, even when he's excited and having fun. During his handling assessment, Oreo was comfortable with all-over body handling and seemed to think the entire evaluation was one big game. He remained loose, happy, and engaged throughout the process. He also showed excellent manners around food, allowing us to interact with his food bowl while he was eating without any concerns. During possession testing, Oreo was reluctant to give up a toy-not because of any aggression or guarding behavior, but simply because he was having so much fun and was thrilled to have it. His body language remained relaxed and happy, and it was clear that his desire to keep the toy came from excitement rather than possessiveness. Oreo was social and welcoming with the dogs we introduced him to and appeared eager to make friends. We believe he would thrive with a canine companion who shares his enthusiasm for play and social interaction. A dog who enjoys wrestling, chasing, and having fun would likely make an excellent match for him. When meeting our office cat, Oreo approached with loose, waggy body language and politely sniffed her. He was easily redirected when needed. On a second approach, the cat gave him a quick swat, leaving Oreo looking back at his handler as if to ask, 'What just happened?' before calmly moving on with his day. Based on his evaluation, we believe Oreo could potentially live with a cat, particularly a confident, dog-savvy feline who won't be intimidated by his playful curiosity. As with any introduction, proper management and slow introductions are recommended. If you're looking for a fun-loving, affectionate dog who will keep you entertained with his goofy antics and shower you with love, Oreo may be the perfect addition to your family. He's ready to find a home where he can play, learn, and be someone's best friend for life. **HE IS NOT DOING WELL IN KENNEL SETTING! NEEDS OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!!**
