This handsome red guy is Fred. He is an Australian Cattle Dog who weighs 40 pounds. He was born in April 2025. Fred is a fun and smart guy. He has completed a professional training program already and knows sit, heel, wait, kennel, and quiet. He is house and crate trained. His new home will just need to reinforce all that he has learned. Fred is a standard Cattle Dog who warms up once someone gives him just a moment. He was a very good boy at the vet office for his vaccines. Given his activity level, we don't think he is a fit for homes with small kids. Fred lives with other dogs. He would be good on his own or with a female dog who doesn't mind his energy. Fred will be a fantastic adventure buddy and can keep up with you. He is good on leash and rides in a crate in the car. Of course, if he sees cows and horses, he will bark at them. He is still a guy with herder energy and will continue to blossom with someone who knows how to keep a young herder busy. Fred is exuberant and loves life. He loves his people. He also loves his lamb chop stuffed toy, which he keeps close. He likes to chat at you. He also likes to watch birds! Fred is neutered, microchipped, and vaccinated. He is located in Gadsden, AL, and is ready to meet adopters who are able to come here to meet and adopt. A home visit and vet reference are required.
