Butterscotch is a beautiful, intelligent Husky/Chow mix who has blossomed with patience and kindness. She loves long walks, enjoys exploring the world through her nose, and walks beautifully on leash. She's a great companion on neighborhood strolls, remaining calm and non-reactive around other dogs, people, bicycles, cars, and even golf carts. This smart girl already knows commands like 'sit' and 'paw' and is learning 'down.' She loves car rides, hops in and out of the car with ease, and is happiest curled up on the couch for a little TV time with her favorite people. During foster visits, she did well with other dogs after proper introductions and showed just how much potential she has. Butterscotch can be a little reserved when meeting new people, but once she feels comfortable, she forms meaningful bonds with her people. She is looking for a calm, experienced home where she can feel safe, build trust, and continue to thrive. If you're willing to give her a little time, Butterscotch may be the loyal companion you've been searching for. Please Note: Butterscotch is available to meet by appointment only. Because she is most comfortable and confident with handlers she knows and trusts, one of her familiar caregivers will be present to introduce her to potential adopters.
